La participación de las mujeres en los sistemas agroalimentarios contribuye al desarrollo rural, la inclusión, la equidad y la sostenibilidad. Conclusiones: se limita el emprendimiento y se desplaza a las mujeres de los eslabones más rentables en la cadena de valor del totopo y clayuda. Se configuraron las preguntas a la lengua zapoteca. Limitaciones: restricciones en el trabajo de campo por la pandemia de Covid-19. Los desafíos de provisión, mercado, socioculturales, de acceso a información y financiamiento influyen en las ganancias de los segmentos y estancan sus actividades a negocios de subsistencia. Resultados: los hallazgos revelan oportunidades como apoyos gubernamentales y adición de valor. Los datos se analizaron con el análisis de conglomerados jerárquicos, K-medias y el cálculo de costos, ingresos y ganancias. Se aplicó un cuestionario a 136 productoras con la técnica cara a cara y la observación participante. Objetivo: determinar la participación de las productoras e identificar sus desafíos y oportunidades en la cadena de valor del totopo en Santa María Xadani y clayuda en San Antonio de la Cal, Oaxaca, bajo el enfoque de género. This paper, with a mixed method research framework, provides an empirical outlook of the dried fish value chain in relation to SES attributes in the context of the eastern Indian coast of the Bay of Bengal, including Odisha and West Bengal, India. It values dynamic resource contexts, considers upstream actors as active collaborators, and expands the notion of value to include the social-ecological wellbeing of the value chain actors. The recent work on a hybrid framework of social-ecological system-oriented dried fish value chain (SESDFVC) makes a departure from the conventional dried fish value chain framework. Poor fishers and dried fish processors placed at the extractive end of the value chain hold low power in the market and remain vulnerable to changing social-ecological system dynamics. Such a neoclassical perspective on DFVC tends to undermine the complex human-nature interactions that are contingent upon specific histories, people, places, and practices.
Despite its importance, work on the dried fish value chain (DFVC) continues to focus on financial value creation and linear interactions among market actors that impede the recognition of human rights, justice, food security, and power across the entire value chain. Dried fish makes a significant contribution to the food and nutrition security of the poor because it is high in calcium and other vital micronutrients. More importantly, half of them are women. The production and trade of dried fish are important sources of livelihood and employment for poor people engaged in the dried fish value chain. Furthermore, it would enable the transition towards a sustainable energy future in Mexico.
This would increase the national value content to 89% by 2040 and contribute to the national goal of generating 35% of its electricity through clean energy technologies, fulfilling the commitment established in its nationally determined contributions. This enables the generation of more than 447,000 jobs and an added value of more than 12,000 M USD. The results show that the upstream development of a national photovoltaic industry is financially viable and sustainable, and with which the national demand for photovoltaic technology could be satisfied by 76% and imports reduced by 47%, both compared to a reference scenario.
This article proposes a methodology and economic model that considers technological progress and economies of scale to analyze a potential upstream development and integration of the value chain of the photovoltaic industry in Mexico. In this way, the development of a national industry that helps to ensure a clean and affordable electricity supply and that also generates important socio-economic benefits, has gained relevance worldwide. Several countries are focusing their efforts on diversifying electricity generation to promote the transition towards a sustainable low-carbon energy system through the strategic development of the value chains related to renewable energy industries.
